For Your Safety

To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, all CWU Commencement ceremonies allow clear bags only. No regular bags, backpacks, or totes will be allowed inside the stadium. Small purses are permitted. Additionally, all guests will have to go through a metal detection check-point prior to entering the stadium. For more safety regulations, review our FAQs.

Description of allowed bags: clear tote bag, clear backpack and non-clear diaper bag, medical bag, and small clutch.

Kent Commencement

The Kent Commencement is designed for all students who have successfully completed their academic requirements at a western Washington CWU campus for their respective degrees.

Ellensburg Ceremonies

The Ellensburg Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies, hosted both in the morning and afternoon, are tailored for students who have met the necessary requirements for their bachelor's degrees.

Graduate Hooding and Commencement

The Graduate Hooding Ceremony at CWU is designed for students who have successfully completed their master's or doctoral degree programs and are prepared to celebrate their academic accomplishments.
