The Regular Decision Baylor application deadline is February 1. A much larger campus, Baylor has an enrollment surpassing 15,000 students and an acceptance rate of 46%. Given that less than half of applicants are admitted, you’ll want to make your Baylor application as competitive as possible, regardless of when you choose to submit it.
Third on our list of best colleges with late deadlines is Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. While App State’s Early Action deadline is November 1, the school accepts Regular Decision applications up until February 1. App State is ranked #3 among Regional Universities and #2 among the Top Public Schools in the South. App State has an enrollment of 18,558 students and an 83% acceptance rate.
For students looking to attend school in New York City, CUNY Baruch is an excellent option among colleges with late application deadlines. Baruch College is part of the City University of New York public college system and is located in the heart of Manhattan. With an enrollment topping 18,000 students, Baruch has a lot to offer. The school’s priority deadline for fall applications is February 1, with the exception of its honors college (the deadline to apply is November 16). Baruch is ranked #9 among Regional Universities and #2 among Top Public Schools in the North.
Though tied with Colorado State University for #151 among National Universities, DePaul University is also ranked #59 among Best Value Schools. If you’re looking for a private school in a metropolis, look no further than DePaul, located in the heart of Chicago. DePaul also has a large enrollment of nearly 15,000 students. The school has a Regular Decision deadline of February 1, making it one of the top colleges still accepting applications past their early deadline of November 15.
The first liberal arts school on our list of best colleges with late application deadlines is Drew University, located in Madison, New Jersey. Drew is ranked #93 among National Liberal Arts colleges and has a 73% acceptance rate. With only 1,549 undergraduates, Drew offers a more intimate learning experience. You can apply Regular Decision to Drew by February 1. The school’s Early Action deadline is December 1 and its two Early Decision deadlines are November 1 and January 15.
The State University of New York system offers many options for colleges with late application deadlines, including SUNY Albany. As its name suggests, the school is located in Albany, the upstate capital of New York. The school’s priority Regular Decision deadline is February 1, and students can expect to hear back by the end of March. Additionally, the school accepts applications on a space-available basis past February 1. SUNY Albany is ranked #133 in National Universities and its acceptance rate is 68%. Undergraduate enrollment hovers around 12,000 students.
The highest-ranked school on our list of colleges with late applications is the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. UMich is ranked #21 nationally and has an 18% acceptance rate. UMich has a Regular Decosopm deadline of February 1 following its Early Action deadline of November 1. The university has over 32,000 undergraduates, making it one of the largest on this list.
Another excellent HBCU on our list of best colleges that are still accepting applications is Xavier University of Louisiana. Xula, as it is affectionately known, is located in New Orleans and ranks #16 among Regional Colleges of the South. The school also ranks #6 among HBCUs and is known for its STEM and health sciences fields. Xavier has an undergrad enrollment of 2,696 and a 95% acceptance rate. The deadline for scholarship purposes is December 1, but the general Regular Decision deadline is March 1. Both deadlines are described as “preferred,” meaning that applications will likely be considered after those dates. Xavier also has no application fee.
One of the sunniest colleges still accepting applications is Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Florida Atlantic is ranked #209 in National Universities and has an 81% acceptance rate. A public institution, Florida Atlantic has over 24,000 undergrads. While the priority deadline is November 1 and the merit scholarship deadline is January 15, students can apply as late as April 1.
For those interested in nursing programs at colleges still accepting applications, consider Columbia College of Nursing. Columbia College is a non-profit liberal arts and sciences college whose main campus is located in Columbia, Missouri. This BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and has a priority deadline of April 15. The final application deadline is June 15.
Art students wondering which universities are still open for application should take note that the School of the Art Institute of Chicago accepts applications until April 15. However, those seeking greater odds of admission should apply Early Action by December 1. Additionally, those hoping to be awarded merit scholarships should apply by January 15. Students looking for private colleges still accepting applications can consider applying to Texas Christian University. TCU is located in Fort Worth, Texas, just outside of Dallas.
