A packing slip is used by the business to indicate the items are that included in a shipment. Most businesses attach this slip to a copy of the sales invoice in the box that the goods are shipped in. This creates a check and balance for both the seller and the buyer. The seller can make sure that the goods that were ordered are the goods that were actually shipped and the buyer can check to see that order was fulfilled properly.

Here is a free packing slip template that you can use to create your own custom sheet for your business. We included a place for you company’s name and contact information as well as the billing and shipping information. Below the company info is a space for product information, purchase order numbers, quantities, and prices.
